The Green Briar was proud to host Packie Bonner, a legend of Irish football on Friday 25th May 2007. Packie was kind enough to take a photo with the Kinvara FC management team and jokingly enquired whether we were any good. Learning that we were enjoying a good start to our league campaign, Packie wished us all good luck in our quest for honours this season. Below is the photo, and a snapshot of one of Packie's finest moments, saving Timofte's penalty against Romania in World Cup 1990 to help secure the Republic Of Ireland's passage into the quarter finals.
