07/22/2009 Mass State Cup Round 2 Atletico Junior forfeited their first round game in the Mass State Cup. In the second round, Kinvara was drawn away from home against Emmigrantes from the NELASA league. It is a knock out competition between select teams from MSSL, BSSL, CSL and NELASA. Our 1st round game is scheduled for Wednesday 22nd July at 8PM pending a permit. 06/02/2009 Raffle Tickets 2009 This years raffle tickets are now available. All players are expected to sell at least 1 book of 10 tickets. The drawing will be July 11th, so plenty of time to get it done. I will be passing out the tickets at our next games. 06/02/2009 Kinvara FC, 2009 Irish Emigrant Cup Champions Congratulations to all who participated in the Emigrant Cup this year. The article is also available online. 05/25/2009 Irish Emigrant Cup Final Preview The upcoming Irish Emigrant Cup Final is broken-down in advance of the much anticipated clash of Kinvara FC and the Irish Village. The article is also available online. 05/12/2009 Irish Emigrant Cup Final Re-Scheduled The Cup final has been postponed until May 29th @ 6PM in Moakley Stadium of Columbus Park in South Boston. 05/01/2009 Emigrant Cup Update Due to forfeits from Kendall Wanderers and our win over Bohemians, Kinvara have secured their semi final berth in the Emigrant Cup. Our opponents are Paddy Barry's and our semi final will take place this Monday 4th May at 8PM in Dorchester. Our next activity is against Albania United, see details below. 04/22/2009 Still Alive In Emigrant Cup A great performance was put in against a skillful Bohemians side. Kinvara getting a deserved 1:4 win. Chilly was outstanding as our deputy Goalkeeper, saving numerous times and organising the defense well for corners and freekicks. Nick Escallon and Leo O'Connor in particular took their goals with great aplomb. Our work is not over however, a win against Kendall Wanderers is required to advance to the Semi Finals. 04/22/2009 Next League Game

04/03/2009 Chris Spadea Chris Spadea had the misfortune of completely tearing his Patellar tendon during warm ups for our pre season friendly with MIT Euros. Chris underwent surgery to repair the damage today and will be in hospital for observation for at least another day. Chris wanted to thank those who helped him get to hospital last night. 04/03/2009 Registration Fees As a reminder, registration fees are due this Sunday at our game with Groton House. All registrations must be completed by Monday evening in order to be eligible to play our 1st League Game. 04/03/2009 Irish Emigrant Cup The Emigrant Cup schedule is now online, see the results archive page for the details of our fixtures. Details of the competition will also be covered in the Irish Emigrant Newspaper. 03/26/2009 World Cup Qualifiers Anyone interested in the Republic of Ireland's World Cup Campaign can visit the Green Briar on Saturday 28th March @ 3:45PM to see Ireland vs Bulgaria, and on Wednesday 1st April @ 2:45PM to see Italy vs Ireland. 03/26/2009 Milan Derby @ Gillette A.C Milan will play Inter Milan at Gillette Stadium on July 26th @ 5PM. Tickets are available now from Ticketmaster. A few team members have expressed an interest in traveling to the game together. 03/14/2009 Kinvara F.C. Trivia 2009 Thank you to those people you attended this club fundraiser. Your support is duely noted and much appreciated. Many thanks to Bob and Daniel from Stump Trivia, Emmett Donovan of Tommy Doyle's Pub in Newton, Tom O'Toole and the staff of the Green Briar. Awards 2008 Last years rostered players have been invited to cast their vote for Kinvara F.C. Player's Payer Of The Year. Results will be announced at the Trivia night, see details below. 03/03/2009 Pre-Season Friendlies Pre-season friendlies are being planned before our first league game. Details to follow, but we could have our first game on Sat 21st March. 02/12/2009 Kinvara F.C. Trivia Night: Thurs Mar 12th, Green Briar Team members and family are invited and encouraged to attend the Kinvara FC Trivia Night, our season kickoff fundraiser. The event will take place Thursday March 12th @ 8pm, at the Green Briar. So please save the date. Teams of 3 to 6 will be accepted, and we will help individuals find a team if needed. There will be prizes for the smartest teams and a raffle on the night also. Each trivia participant is asked to contribute $20 to play, and all funds earned will benefit Kinvara FC. We expect team members to support this event, invite everyone you can and to sign up in advance to reserve your spot.
